Post Election Lunacy

Post Election Lunacy from the Left

After Donald Trump’s victory, America did not experience riots or street violence, but we saw in full view, among some family, friends, and work colleagues, why “Sixty-two percent (62%) of Whites who classify themselves as “very liberal” or “liberal” have been told by a doctor they have a mental health condition.”

Some, not all, sadly let their delusions, paranoia, and hate for everyone who disagrees with them spill over into classrooms, work, and family settings. The following is a list of some—though not all—firsthand accounts shared with me since November 5th.”

  • Hair Stylist. My hair stylist said that a fellow stylist in the salon voted for Trump, but the one who did not was having a hard time coping. Hence, my friend, the manager of the salon, had to give her personal time off—not only for this feather-brained stylist’s well-being, but to keep the decorum and happy work environment at the salon. They were all close and had a good working relationship before. She said the worst part was, “We don’t talk politics during work, neither do a majority of their clients.”
  • Xanax. Another friend said her white, male workout partner told her he needed to go on Xanax because “Trump was going to start World War III.” Apparently, he has not compared the world when Trump was president previously versus the worldwide brush fire that has started under the Biden/Harris Administration. Then again, you will find most of these people conveniently ignore facts.
  • Sex Traffic. Another friend went out with her girlfriends for lunch. She avoided politics, but her female friend kept telling this woman, “How could she vote for a man who would molest her daughters and sex traffic them?” My friend just wanted lunch with her friends.
  • Bridal Shower. A friend’s daughter, who finished medical school and is now in residency, had her bridal shower recently. Her best friend would not attend because “she voted for Trump.” This young woman’s fiancé had enough and called the so-called mental midget friend and told her she could just skip the wedding too. I bet she will be a lovely, calm, stable doctor (cue eye roll).
  • Author Story. Another friend said that, prior to Thanksgiving, politics nearly caused a divide in their family for the first time ever, when his daughter didn’t want to attend because of who her parents voted for. Fortunately, she was mature enough to have a grown-up conversation with her devoted father, and the family stayed intact for the holiday. He calmly explained that, while they may not always agree, he would never vote in a way that would harm his children or others. He emphasized his focus on truth, not confirmation bias, and how he’s spent his life helping others.

Fifty-nine percent of Democrats who took the poll were in support of a theoretical government policy which would confine those who have not been vaccinated to their own homes unless it was an emergency. Overall, sixty-one percent of all respondents were against the policy.

Almost half of Democrats who voted in the poll think state and federal governments should be allowed to either fine or imprison those who publicly question COVID-19 vaccine efficacy.

Forty-eight percent of Democrats taking the poll were in support of the criminal punishment of vaccine critics, whether the criticism appeared on television, radio, or even on social media. Overall, only twenty-seven percent of all respondents were in support of the punishment.

The poll also reportedly says it answers just how far Democrats are willing to go to punish those refusing to get the vaccine.

Forty-five percent of Democrats who took the poll were in favor of the government forcing people who refuse the vaccine to live in designated facilities or locations.

Twenty-nine percent of Democrats who took the poll reportedly say they would be in support of parents who are against getting vaccinated losing custody of their children.

Two-thirds of Democrat respondents to the poll were in support of the government using digital devices to track the unvaccinated to ensure they socially distance and remain properly quarantined.”

These are the same people who want to restrict the First Amendment, the same people like Sharon Stone who said, “my country is in the midst of adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence.”

Folks, a significant minority of our country is mentally weak and has a mental health condition that may or may not be diagnosed. They worship at the altar of MSNBC and big government. Like you, it concerns me. What do we do?

Some simple suggestions – I am open to more suggestions:

  1. Just Love Them. Practice Christ-like love. Continue to serve and love them.
  2. Turn the Other Cheek. Let them call names. Our daily lives need to be an example that they have nothing to fear about the future.
  3. Facts. Don’t make specious claims like the MSNBC crowd does. Have your facts, verified by 2-3 sources, before you pontificate.
  4. Avoid Ego Clash. Do not ruin your personal peace by getting into a battle of egos online or at home. If you feel you need to counter a falsehood, reply with facts and leave it at that.
  5. Do Not Worship Politicians. Politics and politicians are fleeting. Do not worship them.
