There was a big debate among conservatives during the Cold War: Would we win the Cold War because the Communists lost control over their economies, or would we lose it because we lost our virtues as a society? Thanks to Ronald Reagan, we recovered our virtues, especially patriotism, and won the Cold War. And now we’re losing to the terrorists because we’re losing our virtues.
A Hezbollah official recently said:
We’re currently investing in protests and demonstrations in Western countries, especially among college students. We already have Muslim students agitating, but it’s the Western students themselves who will destabilize their own countries.
First, what does this mean? Are they financially or otherwise supporting people in the United States? If we take what he said for granted, then, there are Hezbollah agents on U.S. campuses.
The U.S. government has designated Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. Hezbollah has the blood of many Americans on its hands—most notably, that of 300 American diplomats and Marines. It is a sworn enemy of the United States.
These students can start with something as small as organizing protests, but it only takes one to go all the way and with Hezbollah’s help blow up something and kill a lot of people. Where is the FBI?
Second, we should be even more concerned about the last sentence. He’s saying that most of the work is being done without any help from Hezbollah. They are just eating popcorn and watching us tear our society apart on college campuses. What have we done to get to this point?
If you recall, during the Fair Admission Supreme Court case that ended affirmative action, there was a scandal over the dismissal of Asian students. Even though they had the highest test scores, universities preferred other ethnicities. They cared much more about activism during high school than silly and irrelevant stuff like knowing math and history. Who needs that in college?
And because of that, all high schools started prioritizing activism because they wanted to get their students to college. In simple terms, the demand among admission staff changed from scholarship to activism, and high schools changed their supply from scholars to activists.
Now we are in a situation where the highest commodities are obnoxious teenagers who think that they know best and have the entire world figured out. What makes a good scholar is curiosity and doubt. And high school kids who do not like jumping to conclusions and are not sure that, at 16 years old, they know everything are being deprioritized.
I guess the good news is that there are still plenty of solid and intelligent young people in America. The bad news is that many are not getting into the “best” universities. The idiots and sheep are.
And this is literally becoming a national security problem. America’s future best and brightest are playing on the enemy’s team because they know nothing but love the attention.
So, are we losing our virtues? No. We aren’t. The elites are. But the elites matter a great deal. And they are playing for Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis pro bono.
It is very important that the FBI is on top of this and finds everyone in contact with foreign terrorist organizations.
It is even more important that our universities stop recruiting idiots who do Hezbollah’s work for it.
America is a civilized country. Hezbollah and Hamas are barbarian organizations. Universities are supposed to be the guardians of civilizations. It is quite telling that they are becoming recruitment centers for the barbarians.
